Our Process

  • 1. Project Planning + Design

    The beginning of your building project can be a long journey and we are often the last step in a demanding process. It’s important to us to bring your carefully prepared plans to fruition with ease and enjoyment. We take the time to understand a new project – from the overall concept to the finer and more thoughtful details.

    Our first face-to-face meeting is an opportunity to discuss your project in detail, as well as your expectations and any significant details that are important to highlight. It is incredibly important to us that both client and builders’ expectations align and can be achieved successfully.

    Once we have a good understanding of what you’re hoping to achieve we can facilitate the design process. You may have already established a relationship with an architect/designer or you can opt to work with one of our recommended consultants. Throughout the design process, we consistently look for opportunities to make optimisations, provide solutions, and deliver the best result for you while honouring the architect/designer’s intent.

     

  • 2. Preliminary Pricing

    Once you’re satisfied with your plans, we can begin preparing your preliminary estimate. This cost estimate will help you assess whether the design aligns with your budget and will give you added confidence as you move to the next stage. If adjustments to the scope or specific allowances are needed to meet your goals, we’ll provide feedback on the best way forward.

  • 3. Architectural Design Development

    This is where your initial plans truly come to life. The design development stage invites you to explore how your home will look and feel, allowing you to choose the perfect finishes and fixtures that reflect your style. This is often one of the most exciting stages of bringing your dream home to reality. You’ll have the chance to work with your architect or designer to ensure that your vision is fully realized and that every detail meets your needs and desires.

  • 4. Detailed Proposal + Documentation

    Once you’re happy with your plans, we’ll collaborate with our consultants to obtain all necessary building permits and documentation. During this time, we’ll begin preparing your detailed building proposal, which typically takes 4 to 5 weeks to finalise. We’ll then meet to confirm that everything has been accounted for and that there are no significant changes to the scope.

    You’ll also gain access to our Client Portal, Buildertrend (BT), where you can start preparing for your project, stay in touch with us, and discuss any further details. Buildertrend is full of useful tools and resources, serving as your personal platform for project updates, budgeting, schedule tracking, and sharing progress with family and friends.

  • 5. Contract Agreement

    We will meet to review your proposal in detail and discuss any necessary revisions. It’s crucial that we document every aspect of your project, as this will guide our team during construction and help prevent any surprises along the way.

    Each piece of documentation completed in the pre-construction and design phase adds significant value to your project. Once you’re confident that the documentation accurately reflects your requirements, we’ll meet to sign the contract and prepare for construction.

  • 6. Construction + Contract Admin

    We will meet two weeks before our start date to introduce you to the team that will closely manage your project and serve as your day-to-day contacts.

    Once construction begins, you can expect fortnightly meetings to provide peace of mind and keep you updated on progress. We will also meet at each major stage of the project to discuss upcoming items and important details. Our team is committed to meticulous attention to detail, ensuring a smooth behind-the-scenes process that is critical to the success of your project.

     

  • 7. Handover + Warranty

    We strive for excellence and are confident in the quality finish of the homes we build. After a 12 to 18-month journey together, we guarantee a smooth project handover, backed by a thoroughly documented, specific, and tailored approach. We are committed to going above and beyond to achieve exceptional results.

    Client satisfaction is our top priority, and we are pleased to offer ongoing support as needed. We provide a 12-month defects liability period, along with a 7-year structural warranty following QBCC regulations. Our team will ensure you’ve settled into your new home comfortably, addressing any immediate concerns that may arise.
