Our trades, consultants, and team members are carefully considered to ensure that each project is completed to the ‘Watara Standard’ and with excellence and professionalism.
Proven Experience
With over 50 years of combined experience in building and construction management, our team prides itself on providing solutions to any complex problems that may arise while working with new materials and challenging sites. We are proud to have been awarded for our projects and as 2021, 2022 & 2023 HIA QLD Professional Small Builders. At the end of each project, we hope to have made an impact on our clients’ lives and built a long-lasting relationship.
Projects We Build
We specialise in the construction of architecturally designed new homes, and major renovations in Brisbane City and surrounds. Our team have the capabilities and skillset to work on a variety of projects, however, cosmetic renovations, repair work, and budget extensions aren’t our specialty. Our projects start at $1m and translate to a minimum of $4,000 per sqm.

Within any building process, both communication and transparency are essentialto translating a great design into a great build. We play an active role in the collaboration between the client, architect, and builder to ensure clear communication at every stage of the process and guarantee the project is progressing on schedule and within budget.
Director
Mitchell
Mitchell is a licensed low-rise builder who from a young age was surrounded by construction, learning the ins and outs of building from his father Geoff. He has been actively working in the industry since 2007 when his father employed him as a carpentry apprentice in the family business – Watara Homes. After many years thriving in his position at Watara, he recognised the need for career progression and applied for his own Builders License. In 2015, he completed his Certificate IV in Building & Construction and established his first company, MC Aspecs Pty Ltd while still working for Watara Homes. In late 2015, his father Geoff retired and Mitchell took ownership of Watara Homes with which he continued to build on the reputation that was created the 20+ years prior.

Hayley
With a background in Design, Marketing, and Office Management, Hayley brings a wealth of experience to her role. She is passionate about helping our clients through the building process as seamless and stress-free as possible! With a keen eye for detail, and design, and a few renovations under her belt, she knows the process well and how to best assist you on your building journey with Watara. Hayley enjoys building strong relationships with her clients and maintaining this for years to come, it’s what made her want to be part of the building industry and why she continues to thrive in it.
Site Supervisor
Daniel
Daniel is a Qualified Carpenter with over 25 years in the construction industry. He is highly experienced in Site Supervision with a strong focus on new architectural homes and multi-residential construction. After many years in the building industry, Dan has developed a professional attitude towards all aspects of a building project including client satisfaction. He has a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest of expectations are met, strong leadership skills, and communication with trades and all suppliers and subcontractors.
