Shaped by a steeply sloping site, this home designed by Monster Ideas, is driven by section and structure. Rather than imposing a singular form, the design steps deliberately across the block, using level changes to organise living, sleeping and recreation zones with clarity.

From the street, the house reads as two defined volumes. Vertical stone cladding wraps the lower level, giving it weight and texture, while the upper form projects outward to capture light and outlook. Deep eaves and integrated screening manage sun and privacy, reinforcing the home’s strong horizontal lines without interrupting its clean geometry.

The main living spaces are elevated, opening onto a generous terrace that connects visually and physically to the pool below. This layered composition creates a dynamic relationship between levels that is open and connected, yet clearly resolved. Circulation follows the slope, allowing the home to unfold gradually as you move through it.

Material selections are deliberate and expressive, highlighting texture, proportion and craftsmanship. Landscaping is embedded within the architecture, strengthening the stepped form and softening the transition between built structure and site.
